The Full Story

It was Monday night, I was recovering from a stomach bug and Heather was a tired as ever. We went for a walk around the neighborhood and Heather’s contractions were coming at about 5 minute intervals. However, as soon as we returned to the house the contractions stopped. They started again the evening and we sat and debated on if we should go to the hospital. After calling our friends to let them know we would be bringing Alora over, the contractions stopped. We called our friend again to say we were going to sleep on it and go in the morning, (keep in mind this is 11:30 at night). So, Heather took a Tylenol PM to help her sleep.

We had just read the book of James at church last week and we decided to pray for wisdom like it says wisdom to know when to go to the hospital. It was then that Heather started feeling something strange, it felt like the baby was having a seizure; it was actually very scary and no more than 10 minutes after we prayed Heather’s water broke.

The Labor was much easier than last time; Heather took the epidural as soon as she could so we were able to sleep a little. When she finally arrived the cord was lightly wrapped around her neck, we assume from the turning she did to move from breech to normal birth but it didn’t cause any adverse affects and for that we are very grateful.
